ADRIAN, MICH. – The Adrian College men's basketball team faced off against Denison University in their home opener on Saturday, battling hard but ultimately falling short in a narrow 72-68 loss.
Adrian got off to a slow start, as Denison maintained a slim lead throughout the first half, heading into the break up by nine points. However, the Bulldogs came alive in the second half, fueled by a strong defensive effort and two key turnovers that shifted the momentum. Adrian managed to seize the lead late in the game.
Senior
Nick Seifert led the Bulldogs with a team-high 17 points, adding three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. At the rim, senior
Josh Jordan was dominant, pulling down seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs had four players in double figures, with junior
Seth Logan scoring 14 points, while senior
Kendall Chrismon and sophomore
Braylon Dickerson each contributed 11.
Despite a strong second-half push, Denison managed to regain control with a late surge to seal the victory. The Bulldogs posted solid shooting stats, hitting 44% from the field, 37% from beyond the arc, and 65% from the free-throw line.
The Adrian College men's basketball team will hit the road to take on Bluffton University on Sunday, November 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM as the Bulldogs look to bounce back and secure their first win of the season.
