MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team traveled to MSOE for a two-game NCHA conference series. The Bulldogs defeated the Raiders 5-2 on Friday night to take game one of the series.
The Bulldogs led 3-0 after the first period.
Theo Thrun opened the scoring followed by goals from
Matt Couto and
Ian Amsbaugh. Adrian added a goal in the second period as
Ryan Pitoscia found the back of the net to take a 4-0 lead into the third.
Bradley Somers went on to net a power play goal to pull ahead 5-0, but MSOE responded with a pair of goals to take the final score to 5-2.
Pitoscia, Couto, and Amsbaugh added an assist to their goal while
Connor May totaled a pair of assists on the night.
Dershahn Stewart picked up the win on Friday where he totaled 23 saves.
Adrian will complete the series on Saturday afternoon starting at 4:00 PM ET.
