Greensburg, Pa. -The Adrian College men's basketball team traveled to the Metro Pittsburgh area for a challenging two-game road trip, beginning with a matchup against the Bobcats of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Despite a solid effort, the Bulldogs fell 77-66 on Sunday afternoon.
From the opening tip, the game was a tightly contested battle, with neither team able to gain a decisive edge in the first half. Greensburg closed the half on a 6-0 run, but junior Seth Logan provided a timely spark, hitting a clutch three-pointer just before the break to trim the Bulldogs' deficit to four points heading into the locker room.
Adrian shot 14-31 (45%) from the field in the first half, including 3-11 (27%) from beyond the arc, and connected on 4-5 (80%) free throws. Senior Nick Seifert paced the Bulldogs with 17 points, adding five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Logan chipped in with 13 points and three rebounds, while also dishing out an assist.
Greensburg came out of the break with renewed energy, building a second-half lead that Adrian could not overcome. Despite the Bulldogs' best efforts, the Bobcats maintained their advantage, handing Adrian a 77-66 loss in the first of their two road contests.
Adrian will look to bounce back quickly as they return to action tomorrow, facing St. Vincent College at 3:00 PM.
