GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Adrian College women's basketball team wrapped up action at the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Holiday Tournament, hosted by DePauw University, on Monday afternoon. The Bulldogs fell to the Comets, 73-61.
The Bulldogs kept it close with the Comets for most of the contest, but the Comets pulled away late to seal the victory.
Leading for Adrian in Monday's game was
Aubrie Ickes who finished with 14 points and 12 boards for a double-double.
Anya Riley was right behind her, collecting 9 points, while going 7-9 from the free-throw line. As a team, Adrian shot 38.6% from field-goal range, 20% from beyond the arc, and 58.3% from the line.
Adrian freshman,
Hannah Lisch, was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts after action concluded. She posted 26 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal in 64 minutes played over the two tournament games. Lisch also converted 3 times from three-point range and 3 times from the free-throw line.
The Bulldogs will return home and prepare for their next contest, a MIAA matchup at Calvin University on January 8, 2025. Tip-off at 6:00 PM.
