WILMINGTON, OHIO. - The Adrian College men's basketball team battled hard but ultimately fell short against Wilmington College on Wednesday night, falling 83-72.
The Quakers came out strong, building an early lead in the first half. However, the Bulldogs responded, cutting into the deficit and staying competitive throughout. Adrian shot 41% from the field, drained two three-pointers, and converted nine free throws, but found themselves trailing by four at the break.
Senior Nick Seifert was the standout performer for the Bulldogs, pouring in a season-high 24 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out two assists. Seifert's leadership kept Adrian in the game as they battled back and forth with the Quakers in the second half. Senior Josh Jordan also had a solid outing, contributing 14 points, seven boards, two assists, and a block in a well-rounded performance.
Despite their efforts, the Quakers' momentum proved too much to overcome, and Wilmington held on for the 83-72 victory.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, December 14th where they will travel to Oberlin, Ohio, where they will take on Oberlin College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
