ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team was back in action on Friday night as they hosted Marian University. The No. 6 Bulldogs held on late in the game to defeat Marian, 4-3.
Jacob Suede netted the first goal of the game 13 seconds in after a turnover from the Marian goaltender. Later in the period,
Austin McCarthy snuck in a goal before
Ryan Pitoscia scored shorthanded to lead 3-0. Marian responded on the same power play to make it 3-1. Marian answered back in the second period to tie the game after a pair of goals to make it 3-3 entering the third period. In the third period,
Patrick Saini found the back of the net for the game winner to come away with the victory.
Connor May finished the game with a pair of assists for Adrian.
Dershahn Stewart earned the start in goal for the Bulldogs where he finished the night with 25 saves including 11 in the third period.
The Bulldogs will look to sweep the series tomorrow afternoon when they face Marian at 3:00 PM.
