ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's basketball team fell to Alma College on Saturday afternoon at the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. The Bulldogs were bested by the Scots, 70-58.
Adrian and Alma met in the Bulldogs' second MIAA conference matchup of the season, with the Bulldogs coming off an overtime win over Kalamazoo earlier in the week. Though it was Alma who got the best of Adrian in this one, moving the Bulldogs to 1-1 in conference play this season.
Though Adrian managed a fairly strong shooting performance, which included 39.6% from field goal range, 40% from three-point range, and 60.9% from the line, it did come second to Alma's 47.2%, 45%, and 68.8%.
Morgan Babb led Adrian in scoring for the second straight game, scoring 19 points in the loss. She also added 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while
Kylie Skidmore potted 12 points and collected 3 rebounds and 4 dimes in the effort.
The Adrian College women's basketball squad sits 2-6 on the season and will return to the court on December 16 when they host Olivet at 7:00 PM.
