ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team faced Trine University on Wednesday night at home. It was a battle until the end, but Trine came away with a 64-53 victory.
Adrian dominated the first quarter leading 14-9, but Trine came back taking a 27-27 tie into halftime.
Kali Barber led the team with seven points in the first half followed by
Kylie Skidmore and
Julia Tierman with six. Tierman and
Morgan Babb led the team in rebounding, combining for nine in the first half.
Trine and Adrian kept battling in the second half but Trine took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter. Trine pulled away in the fourth quarter and ended up winning 64-53. Tierman and Skidmore both finished with ten points to lead the Bulldogs. Babb led the team with eight total rebounds.
The Bulldogs controlled the boards over Trine with 29 rebounds over 24 for Trine.
Adrian's next contest is on the road against Albion College on Saturday, February 10 at 3PM.
