ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team hosted Rochester University on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs would score 22 goals in route to a 22-1 victory over the Warriors.
Adrian would score 11 goals in the first quarter as well as holding the Warriors scoreless.
Mariana Miller scored four goals.
Emily Crager,
Sarah Gross, and
Zoe Weber would all add two goals as
Addison Krzyzak would score one, all in the first fifteen minutes of play.
Megan Pihalja would score the first goal of the second quarter within the first minute of action.
Sarah Gross would add two more goals on the night in the second quarter. Rochester would score their first goal of the game with just under nine minutes left in the first half.
Mey Sun would score with the clock winding down to give Adrian a 15-1 halftime lead.
Miller would score three straight goals to start the second half with one of them being assisted by
Olivia Gedman. Miller's three goals would be the lone goals scored by either team in the third quarter. Weber would toss in a goal as the Bulldogs were a man down to start the last quarter of action. Another goal from Miller, a goal from
Lucia Commare, and a goal from Gedman would give the Bulldogs a 22-1 victory over Rochester.
Miller would lead with eight goals and two assists as Gross would add four goals and Weber totaling three on the night. Gedman would grab a team-high six ground balls with Gross and Crager adding five. Sun would contribute five caused turnovers to lead Adrian.
Megan Steffey and
Hannah Reeves would split in goal as they would both only allow one goal in the four quarters of play.
Adrian will host Bethel University (Ind.) on Monday, March 18 at 5:00 PM for their next contest!
