WESTERVILLE, Oh. -- The Adrian College Men's Lacrosse team put up sixteen goals in a road win over Otterbein on Saturday afternoon, downing the Cardinals 16-7.
Adrian dominated Otterbein all game as the Bulldogs' high-powered offense overpowered the Cardinals with ease.
Derek Hassel led the Bulldogs in scoring on Saturday, collecting two goals and six assists in the win.
Austin Selvage managed two goals and five assists, while
Alec Winegar collected a hat-trick and
Michael Jonas contributed four tallies of his own.
Bowen Sparks,
Jake Coakley,
Riley Edwards,
Trace Tidswell, and
AJ Hayes all tallied once to add to the offense.
Leading in ground balls for Adrian was
Mark Picano and
Cameron Reed with four, while
Brandon Hoerauf, Hayes, and Reed each mustered two caused turnovers for the Bulldogs. Winegar led the team with eight shots and five shots on goal. Goalkeeper,
Sam Spangler, made five saves in the win.
Owen Smith also saw action in goal for Adrian, stopping two shots in seven minutes of play.
The Bulldogs improve to 3-3 with the win and will next be in action on Tuesday, March 19 at Siena Heights University in a cross-town match-up. Face off at 7:00 PM.
