ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Men's Lacrosse team traveled across town to take on the Siena Heights Saints in a Tuesday night contest, coming out on top, 17-4.
There was no shortage of scoring tonight from the Bulldogs as Adrian plowed Siena with its heavy offensive effort.
Michael Jonas led the Bulldogs with three goals and two assists.
Derek Hassel,
Riley Edwards,
Tyler Ristau, and
Brandon Hoerauf all tallied two goals each while Hassel and Ristau also collected two assists a piece. The Adrian production continued to press all game and was no match for the Saints as
Austin Selvage,
Trace Tidswell,
Liam Reif,
Jason Klein,
Jake Coakley, and
Denver Engle added to the offense with single goal efforts.
Cameron Reed led his team in ground balls with five while
Mark Picano, Reed, and Jonas all finished with two caused turnovers to lead their squad to the win. Goaltenders,
Sam Spangler and
Owen Smith, each saw action in tonight's game. Spangler finished with seven saves and two goals against. Smith played a quarter of the game, allowing two goals.
The Bulldogs currently sit 4-3 on the season and will return to action on Saturday, March 23 as they travel to the University of Dubuque.
