ADRIAN, Mich. – Mey Sun of the Adrian College women's lacrosse team broke the program's record for caused turnovers in a career, on Monday against Bethel University.
Sun was sitting at 87 caused turnovers for her career and only needed three to break the program record. In the contest against Bethel, Sun caused four turnovers pushing her over the mark and solidifying her name into the Adrian College women's lacrosse record book.
Sun is also closing in on being in the top five in a career for ground balls as well, with 129 for her career. Through her first three seasons, Sun is averaging 38 ground balls a season and 25 caused turnovers per season.
Mey Sun has led Adrian to a 3-3 start so far this season and looks to keep the Bulldogs rolling the rest of the way.
Mey Sun stated, "I am beyond thankful for the opportunity of playing lacrosse at the college level here at Adrian College. I want to thank all my past and current coaches, teammates, athletic trainers, and most of all my family for the continued support these past four years."
Mey Sun and the Bulldogs will host Franklin College on Saturday, March 23 at 4 PM for their next contest!
