ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team hosted Franklin College on Saturday afternoon contest inside Docking Stadium. The Bulldogs would control the entire game leading to an 18-2 victory!
Mariana Miller would strike first for the Bulldogs as she would score the first two goals of the game. Adrian would hold the Grizzlies scoreless throughout the first three quarters of game play. Adrian would end the first quarter leading, 6-0.
Zoe Weber would score to start the second quarter for Adrian as
Sarah Gross would throw in two goals of her own in the second quarter. Adrian would be in front of Franklin at the half, 10-0. The Bulldogs would score another six goals in the third quarter as
Maggie Bean and
Lucia Commare would both score a goal, making it 16-0 after three quarters of action. A goal from Franklin to start the fourth quarter would break their silence, but Adrian was quick to respond with two more goals. The Grizzlies would score the final goal of the game as Adrian would take down Franklin, 18-2.
Weber would lead Adrian with 10 points on the day, she would score five goals as well as dish out five assists. Miller would score a team-high seven goals as Gross and Bean would lead Adrian with four ground balls each.
Taylor Gregan,
Mey Sun, and
Emily Crager would all total three caused turnovers defensively for the Bulldogs.
Megan Steffey would start in goal and would record four saves and not allow a goal.
Hannah Reeves would come in and get two saves of her own for the Bulldogs.
Adrian will play Hanover College on Saturday, March 30 at 4:00 PM for their next contest!
