CLEVELAND, Oh. -- The Adrian College Women's Rugby team split action down in Cleveland over the weekend at the Notre Dame College 7's tournament.
The Bulldogs came out as winners against NDC, 12-5, but fell to Ohio Wesleyan, 15-10. The team was also scheduled to battle with Bowling Green in the third game of the weekend, but due to poor weather conditions, the game was canceled.
In its match with Notre Dame College, Adrian received tries from
Alyssa Luzkow and
Armonie Brown as well as a conversion from
Pendo Miregi to secure the first win of the Spring 7's season.
In the loss to Ohio Wesleyan, Bulldogs'
Liz Dowding and
Madison Williamson earned tries for their team.
The Adrian College Women's Rugby team will travel to Tampa, Florida to compete in the Tropical 7's tournament later this week. They are scheduled to take on Lander, Dartmouth, and Army on Thursday in the Sunshine State. Playoff games will follow on Friday, depending on Thursday's results.
