CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Adrian College track and field team traveled to Cedarville University for the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open 2024 on Saturday. The men finished in sixth place and the women finished in seventh place.
In men's pole vault
Cameron Overmyer took second-place with a vault of 4.38m as
Matthew Cunningham took seventh with a vault of 3.93m.
Zach Skinner in the men's javelin throw placed fifth with a throw of 42.20m.
Ciara Heslet in the women's high jump placed second with a jump of 1.58m.
In the men's 10000 run,
Will Houvener had a second-place finish with a time of 31:43.61,
Caleb Billings in seventh with a time of 34:15.29,
James Oberman in eighth with a 36:04.40 time,
Matthew Fletcher in 11
th place with a time of 36:43.70, and
Wyatt Pugh in 13
th place with a time of 37:09.79.
On the women's side of the 10000m run
Ava Arnes took sixth with a time of 46:50.77.
In the men's 400m run
Grant Clemens had a time of 50.63s and finished in fourth-place.
Michael Wright is bringing home a first-place finish in the men's 200m dash with a time of 21.35 and finished with a second-place time of 10.64s in the men's 100m dash.
Emily Guzdziol finished in ninth-place (1:19.39) as
Meghan Vidra finished in 10
th place (1:19.65) in the women's 400m hurdles.
Emme Koutz in the women's 5000m run finished in third with a time of 18:51.26.
In the women's 4x400m relay the squad of
Amanda Mathews,
Abigail Raftis,
Isabelle Salazar, and
Emily Peterson placed sixth with a time of 4:42.73, but scored six points for the Bulldogs.
Adrian will compete at Michigan State University Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 for their next meet.
