ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team hosted Hope College for a MIAA conference contest on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs lost to Hope, 15-3.
The Bulldogs struggled from the start allowing five first quarter goals and five more second quarter goals. Adrian was down 10-0 after the first half of action. In the third quarter Hope scored another goal to bring the score to 11-0, but a goal from
Sarah Gross broke the silence for Adrian. Hope scored two more goals in the third quarter, winning 13-1 with a quarter to play. Adrian got a little momentum on their side scoring two straight goals. One goal by
Taylor Gregan and the other scored by
Maggie Bean. Hope ended the game scoring two goals and defeating the Bulldogs, 15-3.
To lead Adrian was Gross, Gregan, and Bean all with one goal each.
Zoe Weber and Bean both recorded an assist on the night.
Mey Sun led with four ground balls and three caused turnovers for Adrian.
Adrian will travel to Saint Mary's on Saturday, April 13 at 7 PM for another MIAA contest!
