Box Score NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team traveled to Saint Mary's College for an MIAA conference game on Saturday night. The Bulldogs won a double overtime thriller, 12-11!
Saint Mary's started the game scoring the first three goals of the game. Adrian scored two goals both from
Mariana Miller to bring it to 2-3 in favor of Saint Mary's. Another goal from Saint Mary's makes it, 4-2. Another goal from
Mariana Miller and a goal from
Maggie Bean tied the game up at 4. Two goals from Saint Mary's make it 6-4, but Adrian responds with two more of their own from
Taylor Gregan and
Lucia Commare. Saint Mary's took a 7-6 lead with about 11 minutes to go in the third quarter. A goal from
Sarah Gross and another goal from Miller give Adrian the lead. Saint Mary's finds a way to tie the game back up at nine. Two goals from Adrian followed by two goals from Saint Mary's end regulation play tied at 10.
Sarah Gross scored in overtime to give Adrian an 11-10 lead, but Saint Mary's responds to send it into a second overtime.
Lucia Commare scored a goal to win the game in double overtime, 12-11!
Miller led Adrian with four goals followed by three more from Bean. Adrian totaled two assists on the night.
Olivia Gedman led with five caused turnovers and
Mya Reyes totaled five ground balls.
Megan Steffey earned the win with nine saves.
Adrian will travel to Calvin University on Tuesday, April 16 at 7 PM!
