KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's Lacrosse team hit the road to Kalamazoo on Wednesday for a night cap with the Hornets of Kalamazoo College. Adrian turned on the offense, putting up seventeen goals in a one-sided 17-8 route for the team's first MIAA conference win of the season.
The Bulldogs received hat-tricks from
Alec Winegar and
Trace Tidswell, who finished the night with four goals and an assist.
Michael Jonas tallied two goals and five assists for seven points on Wednesday while
Jake Coakley supported the effort with two goals and an assist.
Riley Edwards and
Brandon Hoerauf each provided two goals in the win while
Derek Hassel collected a goal and an assist.
Austin Selvage found the back of the net for a lone tally to wrap up the high-powered offensive effort.
Leading the way for Adrian in the ground ball category was
Cameron Reed with ten, while Reed and
Mark Picano finished Wednesday's win with three caused turnovers each. Winegar led his team with seven shot attempts, though it was Tidswell who finished with the most on goal, powering five on the Kalamazoo goal.
Adrian goalkeeper,
Sam Spangler, stopped ten shots in the win while freshman goalkeeper,
Andrew Buss, saw four minutes of action making three saves.
The Bulldogs will host the Trine Thunder on Saturday, April 20 at Docking Stadium. Face off at 7:00 PM.
