GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's Lacrosse team opened its MIAA conference schedule on Saturday afternoon at Calvin University, dropping a thriller to the Knights by a 9-8 score in double overtime.
The Bulldogs went down by two early to the Knights before tallying four unanswered goals to end the first quarter.

Michael Jonas,
Riley Edwards, and
Steven Martin collected the opening goals for the Bulldogs.
In second quarter action, Adrian and Calvin kept it close, only scoring once each. Edwards would provide the second frame tally for Adrian, making the score 5-3 at half time in favor of the Bulldogs.
Calvin would outscore Adrian in the third quarter by a 3-2 score, bringing the game to 7-6 for the Bulldogs heading into the final stanza.
Jake Coakley and
Trace Tidswell would provide the third quarter tallies for the Bulldogs.
In the final fifteen minutes, Calvin would tally twice while a man up to Adrian's lone fourth quarter tally by
Austin Selvage, sending the game to overtime tied at 8.
In the second overtime period, the Knights would capitalize once again on the advantage to secure the win.
Cameron Reed led the Bulldogs with three ground balls, while
Jack Messel and Edwards each provided two caused turnovers. Jonas would add three helpers to finish the day with four points and Selvage would lead the way in the shot department with eight attempts and five on goal.
Goalkeeper,
Sam Spangler, turned away 17 shots in the Adrian loss between the pipes.
Adrian's next game will be at home versus MIAA opponent, Hope College, on Saturday, April 13 for Senior Day. Face off at 1:00 PM at Docking Stadium.
