ADRIAN, MICH. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team opened their season on the road at the Illinois College Tournament, securing a thrilling five-set victory against Carroll University on Friday. The Bulldogs triumphed with set scores of 25-10, 16-25, 20-25, 25-14, and 9-15.

Senior Amber Morris led the team with 10 kills, while juniors Kayla Chan and Virginia Rowan each contributed 8 kills. Sophomore Kendall Sullivan orchestrated the offense with 13 assists, supported junior Megan Reckling with and senior Mya Minjares with 3 assists.

Defensively, seniors Lana Cox, Mya Minjares, and Amber Morris each recorded 17 digs, showcasing their defensive skills in the back court. Freshman Ava Acre made an impact at the net with 2.5 blocks, while junior Megan Feldmann added 2.0 blocks.

The Bulldogs will return to action tomorrow at 12:00 P.M. as they face UW-La Crosse in their second match of the Illinois College Tournament.
