Adrian Women's Volleyball Go 1-1 on Final Day of Illinois College Tournament

ADRIAN, MICH. - Adrian College volleyball wrapped up the Illinois College Tournament with  mixed results, securing a four-set victory against UW La Crosse before narrowly falling in a thrilling five-set match to Illinois College.

In the second match, the Bulldogs displayed their prowess, led by sophomore Virginia Rowan, who dominated with 15 kills. Junior Megan Feldmann was equally impressive, adding 11 kills to the scoreboard. The offense was skillfully orchestrated by the dynamic duo of junior Megan Reckling and sophomore Kendall Sullivan, who contributed 18 and 17 assists, respectively.

Defensively, senior Mya Minjares anchored the back court with 16 digs, while fellow senior Amber Morris was close behind with 15 digs. Junior Kayla Chan made her presence known at the net, leading the team with 3.0 blocks.

In the tournament's final match, the Bulldogs put up a valiant fight, pushing Illinois College to five sets. Amber Morris had a standout performance, notching a season-high 19 kills. Virginia Rowan also delivered with 12 kills, while Megan Reckling recorded a season-high 22 assists, supported by Kendall Sullivan's 13 assists.

 On the defensive side, senior Mya Minjares once again led the Bulldogs with 19 digs, while fellow senior Lana Cox made a solid contribution with 11 digs.

The Bulldogs will hit the road as they will play in the Berea Tournament hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on September 5.
