ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's soccer team was led by
Annamarie Fosmoen,
Gabrielle Fallon Revels, and a stellar defensive performance to earn a Tuesday night home win over Heidelberg, 1-0.
Fosmoen scored early for Adrian tallying just a minute-and-a-half into the contest on a lob over the Heidelberg goalkeeper and defense. That was all the Bulldogs needed as they stood tall for the remainder of the night, holding off the Student Princes from scoring.
The Bulldogs registered sixteen shots to Heidelberg's thirteen, with twelve of them on goal. Fallon Revels held her own in goal for the home team, making some key saves and turning aside all four shots on goal she faced.
Leading in the shot column was Fosmoen, who collected six total shots, with five of them on goal. Her first goal of the season gave Adrian their second home win in as many games.
Alanna Earl was right behind Fosmoen offensively, registering three shots with two on goal.
Sydney Anderson,
Josie Huber, and
Melanie Perhne saw all ninety minutes in the match.
The Adrian College women's soccer team will look for its first road win of the season as they head to Hiram College this Saturday, September 14. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM in Ohio.
