ADRIAN, Mich. -- With every Adrian College Homecoming, the Bulldogs induct a new class of Hall of Fame members. During the week we will highlight the Class of 2024 and the accomplishments each of them made during their time at Adrian College.
On September 27, 2024, Stacey Birlson from the Class of 2013 will be inducted to the Adrian College Athletic Hall of Fame. Birlson was a four-year member of the Adrian College women's lacrosse team.
During her time on the field, Birlson was a three-time First Team All-Conference selection and was the 2013 MIAA Offensive Player of the Year. She became a three-time All-Region honoree including two First Team selections. Birlson continues to be the only Adrian College women's lacrosse All-American after earning Third Team honors in 2013.
Birlson holds the Adrian College women's lacrosse career points record (368) and the career assists record (224) while also ranking fifth all-time in goals (144). Birlson also holds the program record for games played (77) and games started (76). She continues to hold the single season program record for points with 117 in 2013, and the first, second, and fifth place spot in single season assists with 80 in 2013, 76 in 2011, and 37 in 2012. Her season assists total in 2011 and 2013 led the nation in Division III. Birlson also holds the single-game assists record with 11.
Birlson won three conference championships including the 2011 and 2012 MWLC Championship and the 2013 MIAA Championship. In 2011, the program made its first trip to the NCAA Tournament, and in 2013, the team returned and advanced to the second round.
Birlson currently works as a Utility Project Manager for the Colorado Department of Transportation. She lives in Castle Rock, Colorado with her husband Trevor. They have two kids, their son Remington and daughter Juliet (Deceased).
In addition to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday night, the Hall of Fame Class of 2024 will be honored on the field before the Homecoming football game on Saturday.
