Women's Soccer Wrap Up Non-Conference Agenda with Home Shutout over Baldwin Wallace

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's soccer team blanked Baldwin Wallace at home on Sunday, 1-0, wrapping up non-conference play with a 6-2 record.

The Bulldogs logged a heavily one-sided match over the Yellowjackets, out-shooting BW 25-9 (11-5 SOG). The contest remained scoreless until the sixty-seventh minute when Leah Homan found twine with a hefty strike down the wing from above the box. Annamarie Fosmoen collected seven shots and an assist on the game-winning goal, which was all the Bulldogs needed to solidify the victory.

Goalkeeper, Gabrielle Fallon Revels, made five saves in the win, marking her sixth win of the campaign. Adrian's Ellise Fries, Melanie Perhne, Josie Huber, Sydney Anderson, and Teagan Bergeron saw the field for all ninety minutes of the match, holding down the fort for the home team.

The Adrian College women's soccer team will begin a bye-week ahead of their first MIAA Conference game scheduled for October 5 at Kalamazoo College. Kick-off at 12:00 PM in Kalamazoo.

Leah Homan and Alanna Earl sat down for an interview to discuss the win over Baldwin Wallace, their thoughts on the non-conference schedule, and preparation methods for conference play in 2024. Click the link below to watch and listen.
