ADRIAN, MICH. – Adrian College women's wrestling team hosted Tiffin University on Thursday, celebrating Senior Night with a competitive dual meet.

The evening began with two forfeits by Adrian, giving Tiffin an early advantage. The first contested match came at the 117-pound weight class, where junior Sharla Juhas delivered a dominant performance, securing a pinfall victory in the first period to put Adrian on the board.

The 124 and 131-pound divisions were voided, leaving the 138-pound match as the next highlight. Freshman Samantha Bultron showed determination but fell by pinfall in the first period. Tiffin gained another boost with a forfeit in the 145-pound division.

In the 160-pound weight class, senior Nahomi Marmolejo faced a tough challenge but battled hard, ultimately falling by decision in a closely contested bout. In the 180-weight class Sophomore Xsaria Puente brought energy back to Adrian with an impressive pin in the second round of her match.

The dual concluded with freshman Mia Gaetjens competing in the 207-pound division. Despite a strong effort, she was defeated by pinfall in the second round.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, January 25 where they will travel to the Indiana Tech Women's Open. First match is set to begin at 9:00 AM
