KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw on the road against Kalamazoo College on Saturday night at MacKenzie Field.
After a scoreless first half, the action picked up quickly after the break. Kalamazoo opened the scoring in the 50th minute. Adrian responded in the 69th minute when Hadi Saad buried a penalty kick to even the score at 1-1. Just over a minute later, the Hornets reclaimed the lead on a penalty goal.
The Bulldogs refused to back down, finding the equalizer in the 85th minute when Dominic Kretschmer converted to make it 2-2. Adrian goalkeeper Eli Sizemore was strong between the posts, recording six saves on 18 shots faced.
Adrian tallied 12 total shots and four on goal, while Kalamazoo managed 18 shots and eight on target.
The draw moves the Bulldogs to 3-9-1 overall and 1-0-1 in MIAA play. The Bulldogs will be back in action at home Wednesday against Albion for a 7:00pm kick off.
