Women's NCAA Hockey Projected to Claim NCHA Conference Title

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its 2025-26 Preseason Coaches' Poll, with the Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team projected to win the conference title. The Bulldogs received 94 voting points and five first-place votes to lead the preseason rankings.

Adrian is coming off a strong 2024-25 campaign, finishing with a 23-4-2 overall record and a 15-1-2 mark in NCHA play. The Bulldogs earned the No. 2 seed in the Slaats Cup Playoffs, where they swept Trine University in the quarterfinals and blanked No. 3 Concordia Wisconsin in the semifinals. Their postseason run ended in a hard-fought 3-2 overtime loss to St. Norbert College in the Slaats Cup Final.

Despite falling just short of a conference title, Adrian finished the year as the first team out of NCAA Tournament selection. The Bulldogs open the new season ranked No. 9 nationally in both the USCHO.com and DIIIHockeyNews polls.

St. Norbert follows closely behind Adrian in the NCHA preseason rankings with 93 points and four first-place votes, while Concordia Wisconsin sits third with 78 points. Lake Forest College placed fourth with 70 points and one first-place vote, followed by Aurora, Trine, Marian, and MSOE. Lawrence and the University of Dubuque round out the poll.

The Bulldogs open their regular season October 31–November 1 on the road against No. 2 Augsburg University before returning home to begin NCHA play November 7–8 against Marian University.
