ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team has announced its schedule for the 2025–26 season. After a heartbreaking overtime loss in the NCHA Slaats Cup Final that kept them out of the NCAA Tournament, the Bulldogs are aiming for a strong comeback. To bolster their postseason chances, Adrian has significantly increased the strength of its schedule, featuring six, potentially seven, regular-season matchups against teams that finished in the top 10 of the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI) last season.
The Bulldogs will open the season on the road with a non-conference series against Augsburg University, which entered last year's NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 seed and finished with a 23-3-1 record. Adrian then returns home for back-to-back NCHA series against Marian University and Aurora University.
Following those matchups, the Bulldogs will travel to Wisconsin for conference games against Lawrence University and Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), before heading back to Minnesota to face Gustavus Adolphus College, last season's No. 7 NCAA seed with a 21-6 record.
Adrian's non-conference slate continues at the end of December with a New Year's Eve showdown against Trine University, followed by a trip to Morrisville, New York for a four-team tournament featuring Trinity College, SUNY Morrisville, and Amherst College. Amherst finished the 2024–25 season as the NCAA Division III National Runner-Up and held the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
The Bulldogs resume conference play with a road series against Lake Forest College before hosting the University of Dubuque and St. Norbert College. St. Norbert earned the NCHA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament last season and finished as the No. 10 seed.
Adrian will close out the regular season with a road trip to Concordia Wisconsin, followed by a home-and-home series with Trine University.
The NCHA Slaats Cup Playoffs will take place from February 20 through March 7, with each round hosted by the higher seed. The NCAA Tournament begins on March 14, with quarterfinals set for March 21, and the NCAA Division III Women's Frozen Four scheduled for March 27–29.
