ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team hosted Hope College on Wednesday night for a MIAA matchup, where the Bulldogs fell in straight sets.
Adrian came out strong in the opening set, jumping to an early lead and battling point-for-point before Hope shifted the momentum late to take the first. The Flying Dutch carried that energy into the second, controlling the pace and securing the set decisively.
Virginia Rowan and
Megan Feldmann led the Bulldog offense with five kills apiece, while
Emma Leinberger directed the attack with 18 assists.
Khloe Budzynski added four kills to the effort. Defensively,
Rainie Atherton anchored the back row with 17 digs, and
Amelia McCombs contributed 10.
In the third and final set, Hope maintained its rhythm to close out the match and seal the victory over the Bulldogs.
