MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The No. 9 Adrian College women's hockey team wrapped up its road series against No. 2 Augsburg with a hard-fought 3–2 loss on Saturday.
Augsburg jumped out to a 1–0 lead after the first period and extended it early in the second before Adrian responded with back-to-back power-play goals. Courtney Ben got the Bulldogs on the board, followed by Maddy Loe's equalizer later in the frame.
The Auggies regained the lead midway through the third period and held on for the 3–2 win.
Sophia LaColla tallied two assists, and Parker Beyer added one. Goaltender Kiera Stack turned aside 32 shots in the effort.
Adrian returns home to Arrington Ice Arena on November 7–8, opening NCHA conference play against Marian University. Friday's game is set for 7:00 p.m.
