ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team hosted Bluffton University on Tuesday night for a non-conference matchup, coming away with a hard-fought 70–66 victory.
The Bulldogs set the tone early, surging to an 11-point lead in the opening quarter and taking a 27–19 advantage into the first break. Bluffton answered in the second quarter, gaining momentum and putting together a run that cut into Adrian's lead before halftime.
Adrian regrouped and started the second half strong, rebuilding their lead midway through the third quarter. Bluffton continued to battle, however, mounting a big push that trimmed the margin to just one point. The Bulldogs responded in the fourth with timely scoring, tough defense, and aggressive rebounding to secure the 70–66 win.
Hannah Lisch led the way with a season-high 25 points, along with three rebounds and four steals.
Aubrie Ickes added 10 points and pulled down a team-leading eight boards.
Ava Schultz also had a strong night on the glass, finishing with eight rebounds and seven points.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday, November 22 where they will welcome Otterbein University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
