ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team hosted Otterbein University for a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon, ultimately coming up just short in a competitive 68-57 battle.
Both teams opened the game with strong offensive execution, trading baskets throughout the first quarter before the Bulldogs entered the break trailing by three. Adrian continued to push the tempo in the second quarter, generating momentum on both ends of the floor, but Otterbein held firm as the Bulldogs went into halftime facing another narrow three-point deficit.
After the break, Otterbein found a rhythm and created separation with a surge of second-half momentum. Adrian continued to fight hard down the stretch, but the late push wasn't enough to overcome the Cardinals' lead.
As a team, the Bulldogs shot an efficient 42% from the field, 28% from beyond the arc, and went 11-for-14 at the free-throw line.
Morgan Babb led the way with a team-high 20 points, adding two rebounds and four assists.
Hannah Lisch followed with 14 points, two boards, and three assists. On the glass,
Ava Schultz and
Aubrie Ickes paced Adrian with five rebounds each.
Up Next: The Bulldogs will stay at home as they will welcome Wittenberg University on Tuesday, November 25. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
