ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team climbed seven spots in the latest USCHO.com and DIIIHockeyNews national polls, now ranking No. 3 in Division III following an impressive opening weekend.
In this week's rankings, the state of Michigan continues to dominate college hockey across both divisions. In the Division I USCHO.com Poll, Michigan State holds the top spot, followed by the University of Michigan at No. 2 and Western Michigan University at No. 4. Meanwhile, Adrian College leads the way in Division III at No. 3, showcasing Michigan's strong presence across all levels of collegiate hockey.
The Bulldogs opened their season on the road against No. 2 Utica University, earning back-to-back wins by scores of 3-1 and 5-3. The sweep improved Adrian to 2-0 on the year and dropped Utica to No. 7 in the USCHO.com Poll and No. 8 in the DIIIHockeyNews rankings.
Adrian will open Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) play this weekend with a two-game series at Marian University. Puck drop for the opener is set for Friday, November 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
