ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team concluded its series with Marian University on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs claimed three more points in the NCHA standings as they move to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs took home another shutout by a 2-0 score.
 
Adrian got on the board in the first period on a shorthanded goal. Marian took a shot which bounced off the stick of goaltender, Kiera Stack and landed on the stick of Allie Hubenschmidt who went coast-to-coast to put the Bulldogs up 1-0. In the second period, Ava Mattaliano netted a goal for the Bulldogs on an assist from Maddy Loe. The third period went scoreless as Stack stayed strong in net while having to battle a 6-on-4 with under two minutes to play.
 
Adrian outshot Marian 41-12 on the afternoon. Riley Johnson led the team in the faceoff circle winning 20 of the 27 faceoffs she took. Stack finished the game with her second consecutive shutout and 12 saves.
 
Adrian returns to action on November 14-15 when they host Aurora University. Friday's contest is scheduled for 7:00 PM while Saturday's is slatted for 3:00 PM.
