ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team hosted Hiram College in a non-conference matchup Friday night, cruising to a 10–0 victory. With the win, the No. 2 Bulldogs improved to 9-2-0 on the season.
Adrian opened the scoring early in the first period when Jack O'Hanisain found the back of the net. Anthony Mollica followed with a goal later in the period, and Ryan Vellucci and Ryder Nienhuis added tallies to give the Bulldogs a 4–0 lead after one.
The Bulldogs continued their offensive surge in the second period as Frank Tafelski scored, followed by Mollica's second goal of the game, extending the lead to 6–0 heading into the final frame.
Adrian's power play was dominant in the third period, producing three consecutive goals from David Clarke, Bradley Somers, and Lucas Deeb to make it 9–0. Anton Sorensen capped the scoring with 4:08 remaining to push the Bulldogs into double digits.
Mollica recorded a three-point night with two goals and an assist, while Somers and Tafelski also finished with three points apiece, each tallying two assists. Ben Loreto, Jacob Suede, Ian Amsabaugh, and Julien Jacob contributed two assists each.
In goal, Ryan Piros earned the shutout with eight saves, while Nolan Suggs stopped all five shots he faced.
The Bulldogs will conclude the series against Hiram on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
