ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team closed out its weekend series with the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday afternoon, extending its winning streak to four games with a 6–3 victory to complete the sweep.
The Bulldogs struck early in the first period, capitalizing on a 2-on-1 opportunity that Frank Tafelski finished to make it 1–0. Adrian poured on the offense in the second period, building a 5–1 lead with goals from Bradley Somers, Anton Sorensen, Tafelski on the power play, and Nathaniel Bannister.
In the third, Patrick Saini stretched the lead to 6–1 before MSOE responded with two late goals, but Adrian stayed in control to secure the 6–3 win.
Tafelski recorded a three-point performance with two goals and an assist, while Somers added a goal and an assist for a two-point outing. Goaltender Ryan Piros earned the victory with a strong 30-save effort.
The Bulldogs return to home ice next weekend for a two-game series against Hiram College. Friday's opener is set for 7:00 PM.
