MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Saturday afternoon, skating to a 5–1 victory and securing another NCHA conference sweep.
For the second straight game, the Bulldogs struck early and carried a 2–0 lead into the first intermission. Paige Pomerleau opened the scoring, and Maddy Loe doubled the advantage minutes later. In the second period, Courtney Ben extended the lead to 3–0 with a power-play goal, before MSOE responded late in the frame to make it 3–1.
Adrian reasserted control in the third. Riley Johnson pushed the lead to 4–1, and Ben added her second goal of the afternoon to close out the 5–1 win.
Ben finished with a three-point performance, adding an assist to her two goals. Goaltender Vanessa Ruban earned the win with a steady 17-save outing.
The Bulldogs hit the road next weekend for a non-conference test in Minnesota, where they will face No. 10 Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, December 12, at 8:00 PM ET.
