ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team wrapped up its series against St. Norbert College on Saturday afternoon. The Green Knights pulled away in the second period, scoring five unanswered goals to secure a 5-0 victory.
St. Norbert wasted no time in the second period, finding the back of the net just 44 seconds in. They quickly extended their lead to 2-0 two minutes later, and added another goal five minutes after that. The Green Knights then capitalized on two power plays, taking a commanding 5-0 lead.
Despite outshooting St. Norbert 33-30, the Bulldogs struggled to score. Dershawn Stewart started in goal for Adrian, recording 16 saves, while Nolan Suggs came in to finish the game with nine saves. The loss marked Adrian's first shutout defeat since November 21, 2020, when they fell 5-0 to NCAA Division I opponent Bowling Green State University.
Before the game, Adrian honored their Senior Class of 2025. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back next weekend when they travel to Concordia Wisconsin. The series will begin on Friday, February 7, at 7:00 PM ET.
