ANGOLA, Ind. – The Adrian College women's basketball team traveled to Trine University on Wednesday evening for another MIAA matchup. The Bulldogs faced a tough challenge against the No. 11 Thunder, ultimately falling 69-40.
Adrian got off to a slow start in the first quarter, managing just four points while Trine scored 14. The Bulldogs found some rhythm in the second quarter, putting up ten points before heading into the break trailing 27-14. Despite a more competitive second half, where Adrian scored 14 points in the third and 12 in the fourth, Trine's strong play continued, securing the 69-40 win.
Morgan Babb led the Bulldogs with 16 points, extending her double-digit scoring streak to four games. She also paced the team on the boards with nine rebounds. Aubrie Ickes contributed ten points, while Kylie Skidmore added seven points, along with a team-high four assists and seven rebounds.
With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 5-8 in conference play and remain in sixth place with three games left in the regular season. Adrian will look to bounce back on Saturday, February 15, when they host Albion College at 1:00 PM for Senior Day.
