ALMA, MICH. - The Adrian College men's basketball team traveled to Alma College on Wednesday night where the Bulldogs came away with the hard earned road win 63-58.
Adrian came out of the gate with intensity, establishing an early lead that they maintained throughout the first half. Sophomore Braylon Dickerson was the standout performer, leading the team with 14 points, three rebounds, one block, and a steal.
The Bulldogs shot 44% from the field in the opening half, connecting on two three-pointers and going 1-of-3 from the free-throw line, carrying a nine-point advantage into halftime.
Alma, however, came out of the break with renewed energy and mounted a strong comeback. The Scots narrowed the gap, eventually tying the game in the closing minutes, setting up a dramatic finish.
Senior Nick Siefert was a force on the glass, posting a season-high 14 rebounds, along with 12 points, four assists, and three steals. Sophomore Luke Rager added 11 points, one assist, one rebound, and a block, contributing significantly to the team's success tonight.
With the game tied and the clock winding down, Adrian's defense came up big. Senior Josh Rechsteiner delivered a crucial block that allowed the Bulldogs to regain possession. Dickerson then calmly sank two clutch free throws, ensuring the win for Adrian. The Bulldogs held on for a hard-earned 63-58 victory.
The Bulldogs are back on the court on Saturday, February 22 where they will host Kalamazoo College as we honor the 2025 senior class. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
