ADRIAN, MICH. - The Adrian College men's basketball team hosted Kalamazoo College on Saturday afternoon for senior day as the Bulldogs fell 77-73.
The first half was a tightly contested battle, with neither team able to gain significant momentum as Adrian and Kalamazoo traded baskets.
Sophomore
Braylon Dickerson led the charge for Adrian, posting a team-high 19 points along with four rebounds, one assist, and three steals. Senior
Nick Seifert made a strong impact as well, contributing 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal.
Despite shooting an efficient 44% from the field, 50% from beyond the arc, and converting 2-of-3 free throws, Adrian entered halftime trailing by just one point.
The second half mirrored the first, as both teams continued to battle with neither gaining a clear edge. Senior
Kendall Chrismon delivered a solid performance, recording 10 points, a team-high seven rebounds, three assists, one block, and two steals.
As the game came down to the final minutes, Kalamazoo managed to pull away late, securing a hard-fought 77-73 victory.
Adrian is back on the court on Wednesday, February 26 for the first round of the MIAA Championships. Tip-off is to be announced.
