ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's basketball team hosted Hope College at the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center on Wednesday, but fell to the Dutch in their final home game of the season, 88-63.
The Bulldogs managed to score their most points against Hope College since 2014, putting up over 60 in a highly-offensive meeting. The 20-4 Hope College team continued their hot season at the MSFC, as the Bulldogs couldn't find a way to fend off the Dutch and climb out on top.
Morgan Babb led her team in scoring on Wednesday, tallying 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 dimes.
Hannah Lisch and
Darby Lienerth played strong support roles in the offense behind Babb, grabbing 15 and 10 points respectively.
Aubrie Ickes stood atop the rebound category for the Bulldogs, grabbing 8 boards.
Aside from the loss, Adrian showed some strength in the free-throw column, converting 14 of their 20 attempts, while also completing 7 of 18 from above the arc.
The Adrian College women's basketball team will close its regular season on Saturday, February 22 at Saint Mary's College ahead of the MIAA Tournament next week.
