Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Aquinas College 16-3

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. -  The Adrian College women's lacrosse team headed to Grand Rapids, Michigan where they took on Aquinas College as the Bulldogs came away with the win in dominating fashion 16-3. 

Adrian came out strong in the opening quarter, quickly finding their rhythm with three goals. Sophomore Madeline Turcotte led the charge with two goals, while freshman Kacie Woodall added another, with all three goals being assisted by Turcotte.

The Bulldogs carried that momentum into the second quarter, dominating with eight goals. Freshman Abby Malone scored twice, as did Woodall, while sophomore Sarah Gross, senior Zoe Weber, sophomore Jessica Schmidt, and freshman Cailey White each contributed one goal. Turcotte was the playmaker, dishing out three assists, and Weber added two assists of her own.

By halftime, Adrian held a commanding nine-point lead. Coming out of the break with renewed energy, the Bulldogs added two more goals in the third quarter from Gross and freshman Skylar Donaldson.

In the fourth quarter, Adrian continued their dominant performance, adding three more goals, two from Malone and one from Woodall.

Kacie Woodall led the way for the Bulldogs, scoring a total of four goals, dishing out one assist, taking five shots, and grabbing a ground ball. Turcotte orchestrated the offense with four assists and two goals of her own. Malone and Gross each contributed three goals, while the Bulldogs as a whole totaled 28 ground balls, 16 goals on 43 shots, and caused 14 turnovers.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday, February 28 where they travel to Ada, Ohio to take on the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern University.
