OLIVET, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's basketball team received a 29-point double-double from
Morgan Babb to capture a road victory over The University of Olivet on Wednesday night.
Babb, who has been one of Adrian's top performers this season, carried her team to victory tonight as she scored 42% of her team's points in the triumph in her fourth double-double of the season; a performance that included 12 rebounds (11 on defense) and a 100% rate from the free throw line (7/7).
After dropping the first quarter, the Bulldogs cruised their way to victory, winning the remaining three quarters of play to earn their fifth win of the campaign. Other highlighted performers on Wednesday included
Aubrie Ickes, who tallied 15 points and 9 rebounds, and
Darby Lienerth, who garnered 11 points, 6 boards, and a dime.
Kylie Skidmore, one of Adrian's most consistent producers, added 6 points, 7 boards, and 6 assists to aid the effort that put the Bulldogs back in the win column.
Adrian shot fairly well on the road this time around, converting 41% of their field goals, 29.4% of their threes, and 77.8% of their free throws, all while fending off the Comets defensively.
The Adrian College women's basketball team moves to 5-15 on the season and 4-7 in MIAA play. They'll return to the court this Saturday at home versus Calvin University at 1:00 PM.
