ADRIAN, MICH. – The Adrian College women's lacrosse team hosted their first game of the 2025 season against Hanover College where the Bulldogs surged to a dominate 19-1 win.
Senior
Mariana Miller ignited the Bulldogs' offense, netting the first four goals of the game in the opening quarter, all assisted by sophomore
Madeline Turcotte. Shortly after, senior
Zoe Weber found the back of the net, finishing the game with an impressive four goals on 10 shots, eight of which were on target.
As the first quarter came to a close, Turcotte added a goal of her own, courtesy of an assist from senior
Mey Sun. The Bulldogs kept their momentum rolling in the second quarter, tallying eight more goals from Turcotte, Weber, and freshman
Abby Malone. By halftime, Adrian had built a commanding 13-point lead.
In the third quarter, freshman
Kacie Woodall struck twice, with both goals set up by Turcotte. The Bulldogs continued their offensive dominance in the fourth, adding goals from Malone and senior
Olivia Gedman.
Miller led the charge with a standout performance, recording seven goals and one assist for eight total points. Weber contributed four goals, while Turcotte delivered an all-around effort with two goals, six assists, and eight points. Adrian cruised to a dominant 19-1 victory, kicking off the 2025 season in commanding fashion.
Adrian is back in action on Friday, February 28 where they will travel to Ada, Ohio to take the Polar bears of Northern Ohio University.
