ADRIAN, Mich. – The No. 3 Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 1 hockey team will begin its national championship defense at the 2025 ACHA National Championships beginning Monday, March 17 in St. Louis, Missouri.
2025 marks the twelfth consecutive season that Adrian has appeared at the ACHA National Championship Tournament. The Bulldogs enter the Women's Division 1 National Championship Tournament as the No. 3 overall seed, after a 29-5-3 season. Earlier this semester in February, the Bulldogs clinched their seventh consecutive CCWHA Playoff Championship after defeating No. 7 Michigan-Dearborn, 1-0, in the championship game. The Bulldogs also clinched the conference regular season title after pitching a perfect 14-0 record in CCWHA play.
The Women's Division 1 portion of the ACHA National Championship Tournament will operate under a new 12-team pool play format, which can be found
here. The twelve teams will be broken up in four pools of three teams apiece, with the winners of each pool advancing to the semifinal round. Play begins on Monday, March 17.
The Bulldogs head down to Missouri a couple days in advance to practice and prepare for their first contest which will take place on Monday at 1:00 PM CST/2:00 PM EST against No. 10 Arizona State University. Following that game, the Bulldogs will then face-off with No. 6 McKendree University in their second game on Tuesday, March 18 at 1:30 PM CST/2:30 PM EST. Should Adrian win both contests, they will advance to Thursday's frozen four. The Championship game will then be played on Friday, March 21 at 12:00 PM CST/1:00 PM EST.
All Women's Division 1 National Championship Tournament games will be held at the Maryville University Hockey Center in Chesterfield, Missouri and the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri; locations that the ACHA is very familiar with, having hosted Nationals at those facilities back in 2021, 2022, and 2024. CCIC is also the official state-of-the-art practice facility of the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues. Tickets and event passes are available for purchase
online, while all games will be streamed live on FloHockey for a subscription. Instructions on how to sign up can be found
