ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team hosted the Trine University Thunder at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center on Friday night, going the distance of four sets, but losing an entertaining contest by a 3-1 tally.
The Bulldogs got off to a hot start to the match, taking an early lead and grabbing a set one win. Though, the Thunder gave Adrian nothing more after that, closing out the contest with three straight set victories to head home victorious.
Despite a loss that moves the Bulldogs to 1-5 in MCVL play, the Bulldogs showed extreme promise and offensive force, keeping each set close and registering a total of 79 points on the night.
Sam Landers and
Carson Bell each garnered 8 kills to lead their squad, while
Rolen Maclin added a team-lead 13 digs. Bell also led his team in the attack percentage category, carrying a .636% over the four sets.
Andrew Graczyk tallied 29 assists in the effort and
Nathan Webster knotted 6 block assists.
The Adrian College men's volleyball team will host Calvin University tomorrow at the MSFC at 1:00 PM. The team will also honor its Senior Class of 2025 before the match begins.
