ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's lacrosse team hosted Alma College at Docking Stadium on Friday, scrounging up a full-team effort to dominate the Scots, 26-2.
The Bulldogs received scoring from twelve different players on Friday to grab their fourth MIAA win of the season.
Mark Veldhof,
Brandon Hoerauf,
Nico Palazzolo, and
Owen Armstrong each recorded single tallies in the win, while
Austin Selvage,
Alec Winegar,
Bradyn Parrott,
Riley Edwards, and
Bowen Sparks found the back of the net twice each. Rounding out the offense was
Jake Coakley who notted a hat-trick,
Derek Hassel who potted four, and
Michael Jonas who buried five of his own.
Hassel and Selvage provided three helpers along with their tallies in the Friday win, next to Jonas' four assists to power the offensive charge. Doing so, Jonas also recorded his 100th point of the season and broke the program record for single season assists, carrying his way up to 43 on the year.
All three Bulldog goaltenders saw action in the final home game of the regular season, as
Sam Spangler started and played in the first half, making five saves to earn the win.
Andrew Buss stepped into the goal for quarter three making one save, and
Simon Milatz stood tall in quarter four turning aside three.
The Adrian College men's lacrosse team will face off against Albion College next week to wrap the regular season. The Bulldogs and Britons will clash on April 23 at 7:00 PM in Albion.
Derek Hassel chatted after the game about the lopsided win and what his team will do to prepare for a big test next week.
