Bevington and Reed Record All-MIAA Honors for Women's Golf

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced its 2023–25 All-MIAA selections for women's golf on Tuesday afternoon following the conclusion of the Women's Spring Final. The Adrian College women's golf team had two players earn All-MIAA honors: Sara Bevington was named to the First Team, while Lauren Reed earned Second Team recognition.

To qualify for All-MIAA honors, a golfer must compete in at least five of the six MIAA conference rounds and may not participate as the team's individual in more than one round. The top six scoring averages receive First Team honors, with the next six highest averages earning Second Team status.

Sara Bevington received her second career All-MIAA nod, this time as a First Team selection. She posted the fourth-lowest scoring average in the conference across six rounds, finishing with a 78.67 average and a total score of 472. Bevington tied for third place at the MIAA Spring Final and recorded the lowest individual round in conference play—a 75 during Jamboree #3 in the fall.

Lauren Reed secured her third career All-MIAA honor, earning a spot on the Second Team. She finished the season with the 10th-best conference average, posting an 82.33 over six rounds for a total score of 494. Her season-low round of 78 came twice—once during Jamboree #4 in the fall and again on the second day of the Spring Final.

As a team, the Bulldogs finished third in the MIAA standings with a team scoring average of 328.50. Adrian College will look to build on this momentum when they return to action in the fall of 2025, with hopes of reclaiming the conference title.
