NEW BOSTON, Mich. - The Adrian College cross country team turned in a strong showing at the Warrior Challenge, hosted by Wayne State University on Friday afternoon, building on the progress they made since last week's race.
In the women's race, Lily Etelamaki led the way for the Bulldogs, clocking a time of 25:24.20 to finish 59th overall. Bridget Waterstradt followed closely behind with a 26:23.60 effort, good for 70th place. Olivia Hyatt (26:41.20, 75th) and Emma Frost (26:56.60, 79th) kept the pack tight, while Ava Arnes rounded out Adrian's top five with a time of 27:51.10 for 88th place.
On the men's side, Will Houvener highlighted the afternoon with an outstanding performance, taking 3rd overall in 25:40.40. Joshua Sharp-Pelto crossed next for Adrian in 54th (28:24.70), with Gavin Shelton (29:17.00, 66th), Chase Nyack (29:36.20, 72nd), and Beau Shaffer (29:36.90, 73th) rounding out the Bulldogs' top five.
